Choosing a Florist

If you do not have a regular florist and haven't a clear idea of where to begin, the best idea is to ask. Ask everybody, ask your caterer, your friends, even strangers. It is more important to question people that did not like their florist. Find out why. Perhaps they went over budget, maybe they did not deliver on time.

Some questions to ask:

  1. Have you worked here before (caterer, restaurant)?
  2. May I see some photos of your work?
  3. How many years have you been in the business?
  4. Are you the owner or designer or both?
  5. Do you do weekend deliveries?
  6. How do you want payment?
  7. Will you make suggestions to help me stay within my budget?
  8. Will you put your prices in writing to avoid surprises?

Some things to consider:

If you do not care for what you see you will not like your wedding flowers. Every florist had his or her own style. Simply shop around until you find someone's work that you really like.

There are many sources for ideas . You may take some of these ideas to your florist and ask if they can reproduce the look. Visit other *websites for samples and take a look at the magazines for brides to be.
